The Song of the Sea

This is a digital art painting that is created using brushes via Photoshop on my desktop computer. As a starting point I used a combination of photos that I had taken of local sea scenes. I used elements from them such as the stones to begin a bottom layer of artwork as you would do in a "normal" painting and then built up from that using digital brushes to create gradual layers of paint. The seagulls were added in later as I thought they would balance the composition nicely.
 This picture is inspired by my regular walks along the beaches of the beautiful irish coastline. The sea and it's varied offerings of beautiully coloured beach pebbles never fails to enthrall me, especially when the water washes over them and vividly enhances their colours. 
This piece is available to buy as a signed and framed limited edition print on archival quality Fine Art Paper. Print sizes quoted include a 5cm white edge.
 
The frame provided is white handcrafted wood and may vary slightly from above sample which is solely for illustration purposes.
